Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the organising committee, it is with great pleasure that I invite you back to the 19th Annual Kuwait Assembly in Surgery(AKUPAS).
The conference is taking place in the State of Kuwait, which is located at the northwest corner of the Arabian Gulf with Kuwait City, a vibrant cosmopolitan metropolis rich in history and culture.
This year we aim to reaffirm the basics of good practice, emphasize the role of ongoing surgical education and research, provide the practicing surgeon with the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of surgical diseases, along with updates on the most recent consensus for controversial issues.
We strive to offer you a most intensive scientific program and a fruitful discussion by faculty guests from North America, Europe, and the Middle East, as well as an exhibition, which will hold the latest in surgical technology and innovation.
This is the 8th year that the Kuwait Surgical Society is actively participating in the conference.
In the quest to achieve balance and equity Women Surgeons of Kuwait (WSK) have played an integral role in this conference.
We have to acknowledge equally the role of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT) for their continued support for their local chapter in Kuwait.
We hope that you will find the conference and your stay both valuable and enjoyable.
